My first wild boar
It was a beautiful spring evening. With my friends Pete, Cooper and I went hunting, and stopped on a high platform on the way, at a nearby wind field. At a good 150 feet height the wind should not make any difficulties today.
There I sat and marveled at the great view. The wind came directly from the front and so I prepared the side and front windows. The great evening began with one of the best choirs of the forest. It was a concert of many songbirds who were apparently happy to be back in their territory. After some time 2 deer from the blue spruce forest came out and branched for a long time. After some time I noticed a strange behaviour of the deer.
Again and again they looked to the path, lowered the carrier into the horizontal and put their ears forward. As a young hunter I did not know what was happening. The way was clear. Nothing happened. There it started again and now they were stomping into the ground with their shells. So I took the binoculars and checked the other side. Suddenly the pulse jumped up. The reason for the deer's behaviour was found. There were 3 medium-sized wild boars on the edge of the forest. Silently I pushed my Sauer 202 over my arm out of the window.
Slowly I reduced my pulse and breathing and gave a shot.
The following excitement was great!. Cooper was running forward as fast as he could, no matter he did not have a chance to track the game.
An unforgettable experience.
Of course we enjoyed the first roasted wild boar.
